Kenyan Vice President Highlights Cuba's Social and Economic Achievements

Havana, Cuba.- Kenyan Vice President Farah Maalim spoke about Cuba's social and economic achievements during a meeting in Nairobi with Cuban Commercial Attaché Javier Domokos.
The two officials analyzed several cooperation mechanisms in place between the legislative bodies of Kenya and Cuba, and coincided that parliamentary friendship groups will be a driving force for these relations.
Maalim affirmed that Cuba's successes have made it possible for thousands of Cuban doctors to serve around the world providing care to millions of people, especially in South countries, for which they have earned prestige and the acknowledgement of their peoples, reported the Cuban Foreign Ministry website.
The Cuban diplomat spoke about the hostile position of US administrations against the island and gave details about the ongoing fight for the release of the Cuban Five, with special emphasis on the actions carried out at various parliaments around the world. (acn) |
